RULES

The league is based on the following parameters and rules:

- The league starts (retroactively) on 01. 01. 2022. and ends on 30. 11. 2022.
Normal deadline to claim a flight is 30 days after a flight has been made.
Initial period to claim past flights (from 01.01 onward) is from May 1st until June 30th. It means that a flight flown before May 1st is possible to claim until June 30th.

If a flight is already claimed into World XContest, the procedure is following:
- a pilot must be registered into Israel XC League 2022
- a pilot must go to World XContest - My flights - Edit edit
- add check-mark to Israel XC League 2022
- Send!

- Ranking:
1) Open Class (all class wings);
2) Sport Class (En-A, EN-B and EN-C wings);
3) Teams
- Ranking in Open and Sport class is calculated as the sum of the points of the 10 (ten) best flights during the league.
- Ranking in Teams is calculated as sum of the points of the 5 (five) best flights of each team member.

- Scoring will be done as per below handicap rules, according to the class of a wing:
EN A 1 : 1.40
EN B 1 : 1.25
EN C 1 : 1.20
EN D 1 : 1.10
CCC 1 : 1
Tandem wings 1: 1.40

Also, scoring is calculated according to a type of a flight:
- Free/Open distance (with 5 turning points): 1:1
- Free Triangle: 1:1.2
- FAI Triangle: 1:1.4
Closing distance for triangles is 5%.

Teams:
You can create a new team and become a team-leader. Maximum number of pilots per team is 5 (five). You can choose teammates from the group of pilots who are not already members of any team.
There's no need to choose teammates now, you can do it later (or change teammates as well).
If you like to become a member of already existing team, contact team-leader and ask him/her to add yourself.
- Flights and other league info will be visible only to registered pilots. Every registered pilot has to be approved by admins. This step is implemented in ordered to keep privacy of our community. Only members of our community will be approved. Therefore it is preferred to use real name and surname on Xcontest (or at least one of them) so we know who you actually are.

- Every flight needs to be approved by admins. Flights which crossed borders of Israel will not be approved. Since this is a cross country league, ridge soaring flights in Arsuf and Netanya will not be approved.

- Those who are concerned about having their flights shown publicly on Xcontest - no worries, it’s solved. You can make your flight private in World Xcontest, just click edit and add check-mark to be shown/claimed in Israel XC League only.

- The condition of paragliding equipment which the flights are performed with is the responsibility of each pilot participant.

- Each pilot participant flies independently and at his/her own risk. Admins do not provide conditions for flights, do not provide physical support to pilots before, during or after the flight and do not bear any responsibility in case of any type of incident occurring during the flight.
